“Because you won! And I think you deserve a prize.” The malicious intent was audible in his voice, and something dark gleamed in his eyes.
“Is the prize a peaceful death?” Charlie tried, an unconvincing grin hastily plastered onto his face.
The sheep man’s voice took on an echo, and his smile showed far too many teeth. “Nope!”
Charlie slowly returned to awareness, and the first thing he noticed was how… wrong everything felt. His body felt far too wet, far too numb. He tried to raise an arm, feeling it bend at an unnatural angle as it made a horrible squelching noise. Whatever the sheep guy had done to him, it definitely didn’t seem like much of a prize.

Finally, his king turned to face him. Their gazes locked, and both men’s eyes spoke of their unwavering certainty towards opposite ideas.
“I hereby release you of that vow,” the king started, with the commanding tone he usually reserved for formal proceedings.
Martyn tried to protest, but the monarch fixed him with a look so vexing the knight found himself quite unable to speak. It was a tender fondness tinted by dread and something suspiciously similar to grief.
His king’s next words were far softer, delicately woven together with a lace of wistful sorrow. “I know that you are truly a man of your word Martyn, so please do not make me promises that you’ll regret.”

Since fate is a cruel thing, Techno still somehow ended up at camp MCC against his own wishes. So, he did what any sensible (grumpy) teenager in his situation would do! The candles had abruptly extinguished all at once with no apparent cause, and the room was now illuminated solely by an ominous red glow rising from the smeared-ketchup runes on the uneven wooden floor. The light shifted and writhed like a living thing, coalescing into a mostly humanoid shape before the room was finally plunged in near total darkness. The sunshine that had been filtering through the attic’s blinds was gone, seemingly no longer able to reach them. The dark in the room felt solid and stifling. This may have just been solely psychological, but Techno could’ve sworn the air was heavier. It felt ever so slightly harder to breathe.
The only thing visible through the inky darkness was a pair of eyes, glowing an unnatural shade of electric blue.
”Why have you summoned me?”

Hit with a sudden wave of dizziness, Ranboo had to fight to keep upright. It would hurt his reputation to be caught sitting on the dirt of the ground. There was a strange feeling in his chest, like teleportation but… more. His vision blurred, and he blinked quickly to right it.
A couple more blinks and he could see clearly. What he saw, however, was all wrong. Where was he? Since when was Ranboo sitting? The room was clearly underground, and there was the sound of lava bubbling nearby. Ranboo looked down and froze. What? He was clearly in the stronghold, based on the portal frame in front of him. Ranboo was about to ask what their plan was, when he stopped abruptly. Something felt wrong. His chest was filled with a cold tugging sensation similar to a thrown ender pearl, but multiplied by twenty. Ranboo tried to call out, but all that left his mouth was a strangled chirp. His vision was getting really blurry and he was definitely panicking. Was he dying? He really hoped he wasn’t dying, Tubbo would be so upset at him if he did that. When he could finally see again, he glanced around frantically. Ranboo was upset to discover he didn’t recognize his surroundings in the slightest.
