“Hm? Does that mean you’re agreeing to my terms?” he smirks, hands dancing up Ratio’s thighs, and slowing at his hips. “We have a little deal~? I get sex, you gain knowledge, and both our hunger is satiated?”
Ratio’s eyes narrow at the other's face before his gaze trickles lower again. He stays quiet, seemingly in contemplation as he weighs the pros and cons. “...I have one question, and you must answer it honestly.” he states, raising a hand. “Will I be harmed in any way from this interaction; or more importantly, will I die?” he asks, gesturing his hand forward. “You must shake before you answer. You demons are bound to be truthful in little pacts like these, I know…”
Aventurine shakes the man’s hand and snorts.
“You aren’t going to die, so morbid, the worst you’ll get is lethargic, I’m not inexperienced, I know how to feed without killing. Lightheadedness, sore hips, fuzzy memory, it’ll feel like a shit hangover. And I’ll be out of your hair with a full belly, hm?”Ratio set his lips and then nodded.
“Very well, I agree to your terms, you said sex demons are born of ideas, elaborate.”Or a demon falls hard and fast for a man that will forget him, surely if he keeps showing up that’ll change.

Summary
Veritas Ratio has faithfully protected others through his banishment of malicious otherworldly entities. He has done such for as long as he can remember. However, when those in his council shun him after an incident, he can't help the uncertainty that creeps in about his place in the world.
Luckily, a handsome and mysterious merchant arrives at the edge of town. Despite always hiding his lips, he has a silver tongue, and the stranger consoles Veritas on the turmoil. He quickly proposes a deal to give the priest some insight into what others turned him away for asking about.

Dr. Ratio's fingers tapped against his knee, another indicator of his true feelings on the matter. Tapping his fingers usually meant he was anxious or uncomfortable, but Aventurine felt no need to put him on the spot about it. "It sounded like you only have one bedroom."
"Correct," Aventurine confirmed, keeping his voice laid-back. He even shifted to leaning back on the couch, his arm tossed over top of the back. "I assume we, as grown men, could share a bed with no issue. It is quite large. An Alaskan king, if I recall correctly."
Again, Dr. Ratio seemed uncharacteristically on edge. "Do you not have a pull out couch or something?"
The blonde let out a laugh. "You're embarrassing me, Doctor. Are you really going to force me to admit I have no need to be prepared for guests?"
