When Ilya woke up, he was expecting to see his husband’s face- the morning light shining through the windows and hitting the features of his beloved just right as if caressing him as Ilya would. He thought he would hear some pattering downstairs, courtesy of Anya waking up and stretching about while she waited for her Papa to wake up and walk her.
