Summary
From the moment Kageyama Tobio and Hinata Shoyou met, both of their lives were changed forever. From opponents, to rivals, to friends, to partners, their time together during their high school years made them feel inseparable. But when those three years come to an end, and circumstances lead the two of them down their own separate paths on their quest to achieve their shared dream of playing volleyball on the world stage, they suddenly find themselves grappling with strange new feelings they struggle to reconcile with their previous perceptions of their relationship. The first line addresses the recipient, but the name had been scored out so harshly Zanka can feel the indents through the back with a pass of his thumb. The first word is most certainly Dear, and he can just about make out an a and what falls between an m and an n in the next one, but anything else is a lost cause.
My name has an a at the start, his thoughts supply, there's an n next to that.
His rational side doesn't bother to brush it off as a simple coincidence, and he feels his heart stammer in his chest.
After leaving his window open to sleep, a mysterious love letter finds its way into Zanka's hands. The name of whoever it's addressed to is unintelligible, but that doesn't stop him from getting his hopes up, especially when the contents start to sound strikingly similar to Jabber's words from the past.

Ok so everyone knows Dave and Dirk had a long amazing talk that presumably ended with Dave asking him for advice on the Being Not Straight stuff. My problem is, Dave also spent three years with his gloriously gay twin sister on a fucking space rock while he was right in the middle of coming to terms with all this stuff. So I wrote this mostly to reconcile the gap I think exists there, with a bunch of other Dave centric stuff thrown in with it.

Summary
After retconning the timeline, John Egbert wakes up at the beginning of the ship's three-year journey with his memories as well as his retcon powers intact. Now that he can travel anywhere in time and space, albeit with some caveats, he decides make the trip a lot less lonely and visit his friends on the meteor.
With all the kids able to see each other, and what with relationship dynamics such as Karkat's not-so-caliginous crush on John (as well as general confusion and self-reflection on the topic of sexual identity), things get very complicated very fast.
