Summary
It all begins with Albedo turning Kaeya accidentally into a child.
How was he supposed to turn him back into the insufferable cavalry captain that he was? How was he supposed to care for a child? And why was his brother so stubborn?
A journey through Kaeya's past sprinkled with a little (a lot) angst, comfort and lots and lots of Found Family content. Oh, and Albedo develops some of his own problems.

Summary
Kunikuzushi doesn’t know a ‘Captain Beidou’ but he guesses it must be whoever commands the ship that Kaedehara had just gotten off of. He takes a moment to think about Kaedehara’s rather quick invitation as Nahida’s words echo in his mind once more. “Whether or not you do so in Sumeru is up to you.” It seems the tiny god has already foreseen that he’d be traveling to another nation, and Kunikuzushi would bet that she even knew they’d be headed for Inazuma.
“When do we leave?” He finally agrees, though not because of Buer or the traveler; he knows what needs to be done if he is to be freed from the shackles of his past actions, and it’s something he cannot do without Kaedehara.
OR
After spending 3 years in Sumeru, Nahida informs Kunikuzushi that she thinks it’s time he settles those old debts from his past. The traveler helps introduce him to Kaedehara Kazuha, who invites him to travel through Inazuma together. Little does Kunikuzushi know that accepting the samurai’s offer won’t lead to the merciful death he hopes for but a long, difficult journey of self-love and forgiveness.

Summary
To an immortal, two centuries is only a mere percentage of their lifetime. But to a mortal, two hundred years is like an eternity with most not even living for a century.
Scara is cursed with a photographic memory, remembering the life he once lived in a cruel reality reminding him he will never get that back. He deemed life was perfect when he was with Kaedehara Kazuha, but Kazuha was a mortal meaning that eventually he had taken his last breath.
Though, a highly intelligent alchemist in Dragonspine was going through quite similar. The love of his life was taken from him too soon, and so are the memories.
When Scara eventually resorts to chemically enhanced elements as an escape from reality, Albedo is the one who finds him with his eyes dilated rocking back and forth behind a building in Mondstadt. He picks him up and takes care of him back at his laboratory, and that's when they realize they have much more in common than they think.

Kazuha folds his hands behind his back and tries again. "I'm from Inazuma, originally."
He takes the twitch of Wanderer's mouth to mean that he guessed this already. Matching a soft smile, he continues. "These days, I travel with the Crux Fleet, or explore various nations by myself." A pause—he's not entirely comfortable talking about himself this much. "…Can I assume the 'Wanderer' title means you've been to many places, like me?"
Wanderer takes a long moment before replying in a soft voice. "Sure."
