The lovers Mark is a marking of soul mates. The Mark is more common among those that travel a lot, such as pirates and the navy. The Mark of one's other half will appear on the right shoulder once the two are in each other's presence. If one is The captain of a ship their jolly Rodger will appear on the other, if one is not a captain then an image more common with them will appear on the other. One can not put a tattoo in that spot for it will vanish, as well as not being able to cover it with a tattoo or a scar for they will also vanish to keep the Mark perfectly intact. When close or in the presence of their other half, the two will feel a pull to the other. When the two touch they will feel a sense of fulfillment and in some cases a sense of Euphoria wash over their body.

A small tug of your arm confirmed that the odd tether inexplicably tying you to Sylus was still present, though it at least allowed enough distance for him to drive the car without you also having your hand on the wheel.
“Will it be okay for me to have my friend with me?”
“Your friend?” Zayne’s voice was dubious, and you could imagine the subtle downward tilt of his eyebrows as he continued, “He can stay in the waiting area, if he must.” Sylus glanced at you and tugged his own arm, pulling at the band of energy.
“I’d be happy to wait for you, kitten, but...” he trailed off, dropping his connected hand back to your thigh.
