Before Tae-ui could respond, Ilay closed the distance between them, pulling Tae-ui into a soul-consuming kiss. It was fierce and demanding, like Ilay was trying to prove something—staking his claim, making it clear that there would be no running this time. The kiss was overwhelming, drawing Tae-ui in, as if Ilay’s very being was pouring into him.

Taeui huffed a small laugh. He didn’t move from the chair.
“Give me ten more minutes of this view,” he said softly. “Then you can try your best to distract me.”
Ilay’s chuckle vibrated against him. “Deal. Ten minutes. After that, you’re mine, Jeong Taeui.”

Jeong Taeui couldn't understand. Even after years of absence, why is it so hard to let go of someone you're not supposed to love? Ilay left. He left and never looked back. That's how it was to Taeui and now that he's back, suddenly Ilay just wants to reconnect like old times..?
Before he left, Ilay acted as if him leaving would be nothing but a short vacation. I'll come back to you. He told Taeui. But words are more often than not, shallow.
