The guy’s expression is impassive with a trace of determination… one that causes Wise’s breath to catch in his throat. He isn’t even looking at the dance pad or anyone in the crowd, but something only skilled rhythm gamers can see. Or, this young man’s concentration is so deep that he’d tuned out everything but the music and clean chimes that indicate he’d hit the note with perfect accuracy.
