Sometimes, Riot found themself wondering what would have happened if they’d spoken up. The urge had been there- a very real part of them had wanted to give the game away, to undo all their hard work and just let him find them hiding there behind that centuries-old couch.
But they hadn’t, and even now, six years later, the sound of him muttering and cursing to himself as he grew more and more convinced he’d lost them still found its way into their dreams some nights.
