For years, Cloud Strife has walked around with a colourful soulmark on his side: the biggest indicator that he has met his soulmate. The only downside is that he never could remember who it was or where they were. The only way he even knew they were still alive was because his mark never went back to black
During his final fight against Sephiroth, the psychopathic bastard actually decides to give him all his memories of his soulmate back, thinking he is dead anyway and unknowingly sets him on a practically impossible quest to find him to hopefully have some sense of stability and completion back in his life.
He just has absolutely no idea where to begin...
