Summary
Ben Solo has become a mess after Rey broke up with him three months ago. He just can't seem to get over her. He's become an alcoholic and is spiraling downward to his demise. Will he be able to survive without her? Will he be able to change for the better for himself? Or will he continue on this broken path to his end?
This is a very angsty piece and will touch on a lot of hard topics, like alcoholism, depression and other mental illnesses, post break-ups, death, and relapsing. But I swear, it will have a happy ending.

Rey folded her arms, huffing angrily, before all the fight left her and she slumped over onto the table, resting her forehead on the cool, faux wood. “Why is this the end, Finn? Why did they decide this was the best ending?”
Rey is devastated with how Disney ended the Skywalker Saga. She absolutely hates that Jacen Solo and Kira, while now canon, are separated by Jacen's death. She decides to drink with her friend Finn at a small bar before their last final for the fall semester, where she meets someone who knows Darth Caedus and Jacen Solo intimately.
Aka this is a modern AU fix-it fic for TROS. I don't know how I'm making it work, but I'm making it work lol

Kylo Ren and Rey meet one sunny day, when he helps her move into her apartment, and they hit if off. Instant fireworks. A spark. Butterflies and heart-eyes. The works. A connection that just has to mean something. Right?

When Kylo seemingly disappears from the face of the earth, Rey is left with unresolved feelings and abandonment issues the size of Mount Everest.
Years later, Rey works as an art educator at OLAF-the newly established Organa Learning and Advocacy Foundation-and she's sort of maybe, possibly, perhaps flirting a tiny little bit with one of the non-profit's lawyers. The only problem? She's never met this 'Ben Solo'. All she has are his increasingly long emails and a fledgling feeling of hope.
But when she invites him to her first art show, they both are in for a huge surprise.
