Summary
He had to save them; he may have just landed here after… well it doesn't matter he just had to save them. No kid deserved to die and he would make sure that these kids wouldn't even if he didn't know them at all. Pulling at his powers he focused on getting the occupants of the bus away from the sinkhole and to safety no matter what it would do to himself.
Pulling the bus into the shadows was easy but Pulling the bus out was easier said than done when he is already about to die anyway. His father would be disappointed that he faded instead of dying a gruesome death in battle. But the beauty of fading is that he would just cease to exist and wouldn't actually die as a result he wouldn't have to see his father's disappointment. As he lost consciousness he saw a flash of yellow.
Or I read Shadow Warp by dognamedmeatball and wanted more but couldn’t find anything similar so I decided to write something myself and actually share it.

Virgil Storm did not take kindly to soulmates. Growing up with parents that hated each other, and were also soulmates, his opinion of them was not the best. Toss in the fact that he had multiple, his left eye a cascade of colors, he borderline dreaded meeting them. Let’s just say that his eye contact was shit.
What would happen if he met all of them at once as he moved in at college, and, oh, they were already an established relationship? Virgil was less than enthused.

So he did.
Every time he slept, he started to ignore them. He fled and watched them all. All his soulmates (ew why did he have so many). He’d listen to them talk. The first week they looked for him. And then they talked about how worried they were. And then they forgot him.

Virgil get told soulmates are stupid all his life, so he avoided them. Even when he met them. (But unluckily (luckily?) they didn’t give up so easy)OR OR
5 times Virgil ran from his soulmates + 1 time he couldn’t run.(I PROMISE ITS BETTER THAN THE TITLE)
