Summary
The silence stretched between them then, thick and awkward. Not because they had nothing to say; because they had too much. Too many questions neither wanted to voice first. Too many unspoken rules from Hell suddenly meaningless here.
Vox finally stood, joints cracking in protest. Annoying. Stupid human body. “Look. All I know is we woke up like this. On Earth. Together. With all our memories and none of our powers. So, congratulations, deer boy, you’re stuck with me.”
Alastor pinched the bridge of his nose, inhaling sharply through his teeth. “Let me get this straight. I have been forcibly deposited into a mortal vessel, next to you, with no warning, no explanation, and no immediate means of escape?”
“That’s the gist,” Vox said.
Alastor stared at him.
Then laughed.
Or Alastor and Vox find themselves trapped in Purgatory with human bodies.

Summary
After a 7 year absence Alastor finds himself subjected to the whims of the overly excitable and extremely naive daughter of Hell's absent ruler against his will and his better judgment. Bound by his Deal and compelled by the contract he signed with Niffty he tries to learn how to navigate this new afterlife he finds himself forced into. It all seems pretty straightforward, stick to his end of the bargain, keep his tiny sinner safe, and find some way to free himself of the restrictions his loss to Vox has imposed on him. It all would be pretty straightforward if the rules didn't keep changing on him, if he wasn't also fighting against Niffty’s fading sanity, and he didn't feel drawn to the most infuriating Angel in all of creation.
The sequel to Good and Kind Aren't The Same Thing and For The Love of Entertainment, Dancing with Demons sheds light on the winding path Alastor must follow to free himself and find the happiness he promised to search for, all while exploring what it truly means to be redeemed.

Charlie was practically vibrating with excitement, her smile so wide it was threatening to split her face in two. The hotel lobby was buzzing – she certainly wasn't the only one pacing or wringing her hands.
Angel looked a little nervous, obsessively combing through the feathers on Husk's tail with his fingers. Husk had grumbled about it – but eventually gave up trying to bat Angel's hands away. There were too many of them for him to counter. Now he was sitting, arms crossed, flicking through his phone with pointed disinterest.
He clearly didn't expect to receive any visitors.

Summary
Lucifer Morningstar joined the Hotel much earlier in the year, and soon developed feelings for a certain Radio Demon. The rest of the hotel were genuinely surprised when Lucifer managed to ask Alastor out and actually got a yes. When the Extermination Day came, they had been partners for a while. Unfortunately, once Adam figured out that Lucifer had met someone new, he decided to get even for the way Lucifer humiliated him back in Eden.
Following what happened during the Extermination, Alastor struggles. If only he could manage to let his guard down a little, and ask someone for help, instead of pretending everything is fine ...

Summary
It's been 2 months since the last extermination. Alastors' presence in the hotel remained the same, carrying on as though he had chosen to leave the fight at the very moment he had. Being as unpredictably predictable, no one seemed to bat an eye at his simple explanation of why he left when he did. "Well I simply couldn't let the star of the show, dearest Charlie, miss her chance to truly shine now could I?" His condescending tone wasn't shocking, neither was the accompanied laugh track seeming to echo from his shadow rather than the mic he normally carried. Lucifer was really the only one to question it, though Alastor couldn't even be bothered to remember how that conversation had gone.

With the massive angelic wound slowly eating away at Alastor, the radio demon now needs to find a way to secure his roles throughout hell for his untimely and inevitable demise. With new deals, unlikely blossoming friendship, and the attempt to experience things he's missed out on in life/after-life, Alastor begins to think he may actually miss hell. Between keeping their past selves safe, avoiding exorcist angels, and hunting the Television Demon, they might have their work cut out for them. If they don't have it cut out for each other first.
The first part gives character introductions at points before All-In begins. You don't need to read them to enjoy this story, but they do add a smidge of context and flavor. Recommended but not required.

Husk knows that keeping one's cards close to their chest is instrumental to survival in hell. Especially when an overlord's got their eye on you. Useful people tend to get used up.
So that's how he survives his decades under Alastor's supervision. Never be too interesting. Never be too valuable. As far as the Radio Demon knows, he's just a drunkard. He doesn't even need to pretend. As far as he's concerned, that's all he is now anyway.
This fic follows only the events of the 2019 Youtube Pilot and the Addict MV.

It’s kind of crazy how a singular three letter word can make you stop dead in your tracks. King of hell he might be, but the careful and frightened voice of his daughter will never fail to freeze him. Sure, it could be considered a bit of a coward move, but he can't convince himself to care. There are situations where being afraid to move your body even a fraction is justifiable. Like this one, for example.
“What-“ Charlie takes a brief pause as she properly inspects the situation in front of her, “Is Alastor on top of you?”
