Slowly, Armand takes the packet from him; it's light, and when he turns it over in his hands, it emits a quiet, gentle rattle.

AU (Black Mirror). All of society is regimented by a Five Star social scale, voting on each interaction, photo, and anecdote. Keeping up is practically a full time job, but fortunately, Light Yagami excels at smiling and lying through his teeth. It’s no wonder he becomes one of the youngest with a 4.5+ Star rating in existence, all while carefully pretending to be apathetic to the whole system.
A misunderstanding avalanches, leaving Light in with less than half his usual Rank in a matter of hours. He reacts as any wrongfully accused person (who is not at all to blame) would.
He fucks up. Bad. Over and over.

He handed them to the cashier. His ears burned, and his head was ducked as he grabbed the items and moved out of the store.
He did not notice the shaved-headed boy at the other register.
At fourteen years old, Adam moved from his shitty backwater hick middle school to a larger, equally shitty backwater hick high school. It was there that he met Blue Sargent.
They could have stayed Adam-and-Blue, tumultuous and loving and confused and hopeful and hopeless, if at sixteen Blue hadn't seen a rain-spattered spirit in an Aglionby sweater.
And if Richard Campbell Gansey III, Ronan Lynch, Noah Czerny, and Henry Cheng hadn't descended on Nino's during her shift the day after.

Summary
Bellamy has always known that developing feelings for Clarke was a colossal fuck-up of epic proportions. Knew that Octavia - his jealous, possessive, adored baby sister - wouldn't be able to handle it.
Knew that she’d be utterly consumed by the idea that Clarke could see a side to her brother that she couldn’t see. That he would find something in Clarke that he couldn’t, and shouldn’t, find in her.
That’s really the only explanation for what happens next.
A Bellarke love story with Bellamy/Octavia, Clarke/Octavia, and Bellamy/Clarke/Octavia elements.

She didn’t seem to have it in her to concentrate with Adam’s hand on her hip, thumb making the same two inch journey, back and forth, across the exposed skin above the waistband of her jeans, which she had embroidered with little grasshoppers herself.
Her focus had narrowed only to that small patch of skin under the hard callus on the pad of Adam’s hand, and the heat pooling low in her in response. When she cut her eyes to the right to steal a sly glance at him, he did not turn his head, but she could see the start of a poorly repressed smile at the corner of his mouth and she allowed herself the fantasy for a minute of something else with him, of climbing onto his lap and getting between him and his work.
Adam caught her looking the next time, and she could feel herself flush.
