Summary

Ajaw's arms spread to encompass the waters before them and the cliffs at their back. The rush of sky above them, stunningly blue from the sea-summoned breezes that swept the clouds away, and the dewy grass trampled under their feet: he embraces it all with childlike enthusiasm. Emeralds sparkle in his eyes, ruby slits flashing with pure wonder as he takes in the land he once ruled over. Now he’s a part of it, just as much as Kinich or any other human are.
Now that Ajaw has a human body, Kinich makes good on his promise to show him the world. They sightsee around Natlan while adjusting to their new relationship (and to a new form, in Ajaw's case). This somehow involves running into the other Heroes of Natlan and receiving congratulations and, occasionally, baffling gifts.
Kinich is smitten, Ajaw is insufferable even in human form, and everyone else seems convinced there will be a wedding reception.
