Crushed by his actions during the war and faced with the tragedy of the last few years of his life, he is trapped in a dark, lonely cell and mistreated by the guards. He's sinking, quicker than he can swim, and he no longer knows if he can break through to the surface.
When he's released, issued to start his Eighth Year at Hogwarts and somehow graduate with passable OWLS, he'll need all the help he can get- even if he won't admit it.
