Jude was in the passenger seat of the car, but his body was completely leaning towards the driver. The carbon fiber center console was an inconvenient obstacle, so he solved this by resting one knee directly on the leather upholstery of Erling's seat, encroaching on its space.

“Take that off,” Gunther ordered suddenly. His voice was barely a deep whisper, but it carried the absolute weight of a directive that accepted no questioning.

Twenty-Two year old Cody Rhodes is sent on his very first cattle drive by his father in hopes he'll develop into a man who can someday run the family business. He faces the isolation and hardships of life on the trail while earning his keep at the very bottom of the food chain. Over time he starts to develop a tentative friendship with the man tasked with watching out for him and showing him the ropes, the only problem is the other feelings that start to develop as well.
