"Despite everything, Elliot is.. still squeamish with blood. (It makes him ill. Heavily so.) Every time he sees it, or has someone else's injury explained to him, he's disgusted. (It makes him want to vomit. Excessively.) It also just plain sucks that he's one of the healers on the team, unfortunately. (Hell, he's the only 'competent' healer. Builderman's dispensers are.. very selective on their use-case scenarios, and Two Time and Shedletsky only heal themselves.) So, all in all, he's often ending up in the mess of the killer's attacks, and he ends up.. seeing it all.
And he hates it. Sure, he can try and stay away, but.. Well.. He's not going to let anyone in the midst of chase die. He's not.. that much of a dick, after all. He tries not to be. But.. the problem is.. Is that he's getting more squeamish. Especially with the more.. brutal that the killers all are becoming."

Jett returns to her senses after her blind rage during the Shivers game, numbing her to everything that happened during the game. She quickly realises no one is celebrating with her. She also realises Will is nowhere to be seen. But behind her is a hole in the cracked icy ground, water peaking out of it with small splats of blood on the ice and blood discolouring the water. Instantly, she knows something is very, very wrong.
