Summary
You see, although Dokja wouldn't admit it to anyone he knew, he was somewhat of a fan of the Supreme King's streams.
Dokja thought back to his one-room apartment and the Supreme King posters taking up half the wall space and grimaced. Okay, maybe he was a bit obsessed. Still, it was embarrassing to be almost thirty years old and still into video game streamers, even more so when he was going to meet said video game streamer in person in only a few hours.
"Make a good impression, eh?" Sooyong said, elbowing Dokja in the side. "Maybe you'll finally get yourself an alpha mate this year."
That was the other issue. If he admitted he was a fan of a person like the Supreme King, everyone would automatically assume he had a crush. There was no other reason an omega would admire such a typical alpha, was there?
Kim Dokja is an omega who has spent most of his life hiding desires unsuitable for his designation. When the "alpha" video game streamer he's looked up to for years is revealed to actually be an omega as well, needing Dokja's assistance to get through his heat without anyone else finding out, who would he be to say no?

Summary
The person— was it a person at all?— had long black hair, plastered wet against their shirtless, muscular back, but Dokja couldn't see their legs. Was that a tarp covering them?
Dokja stepped closer, grabbing their shoulder and rolling them onto their back, only to freeze when he saw the deep red gash running across their chest. (His chest? Dokja wasn't quite sure in the dark, but despite their long hair and rather… generous pectorals, they looked pretty masculine.)
Just below, however, was something more shocking. Dokja had originally assumed that something was covering their legs, but instead, around their waist skin faded into dark scales, a tail leading down into the water, being tugged around by the waves.
A siren?
Dokja finds an injured siren at the beach and nurses him back to health. Before seeing him off, he accidentally makes a promise he shouldn't have, and when the siren returns months later, faces the consequences.

It was a few hours later when Dokja awoke– as far as he could tell, anyways, since there was no outside light coming in to tell him the time. As they slept, he and Joonghyuk must have shifted, as he was now plastered against the man’s back despite his earlier promise not to touch him.
He tried to pull himself away, before his hand met a strange texture on Joonghyuk’s skin. It almost felt like–

Joonghyuk stiffened, startling awake. “Kim Dokja. I told you not to touch me,” he growled, ears red even though he didn’t turn to face Dokja. “Get your hands off of me.”Persephone invites Dokja to a meeting of the Gourmet Society with a suggestion that there might be some powerful Stories available. What he ends up getting is better.

To be entirely fair, Zhongli had planned to fake his death. He would drop a fake Exuvia just as the Qixing called for him during the Rite of Descension, and he would let everything unfold from there.
That had been the plan. He might’ve started to regret the circumstances, but never the end result. Rex Lapis was meant to die.Zhongli wasn’t.
So why did he?
And if he did,Why was he awake now, somewhere he did not at all recognize?

Or, Zhongli not-quite-transmigrates into a modern version of Teyvat and has to figure out why the Zhongli from that universe (whose body he took over) has died, along with other things threatening the nation. With the other Zhongli dead, he's the only Morax left, after all.
