It all starts with a simple message from Yeosang, thrilled to tell his friends he's been inspired to up his game! He even sends a linked video of his favorite fitness YouTuber's latest upload.
At first it's just a bit of teasing and banter, but then it turns out Wooyoung knows the linked video's co-star. A quick series of DMs later, and suddenly Yeosang's caught the attention of his role model. Which would be just fine, except...speculation starts up. Wouldn't it be incredible fate if this new connection turned into something more?
Two people in the chat think that would be *hideous*--and worry starts to eat at them. But will that be enough to change their convictions that friendship is all they can ever have? Will either of them decide the risk of confession, though terrifying, isn't as bad as forever wondering "what if?"

Summary
It wasn’t awkward. It felt natural. And, God, it was fun! It’d last however long it lasted, and then they’d go back to how they were before: Yunho and Yeosang, flatmates, workmates, best of friends for 19 years. They didn't have to discuss it, it was obvious.
Anything else was…impossible to imagine.

Yeosang shivers at the look in Soobin’s eyes, his hand is so fucking warm on his thigh, and that pull starts again; like he’s falling into Soobin’s orbit. He really had grown into his looks, and that growth spurt had pushed him to an annoyingly attractive height.
He wants to kiss him.
And, like before, knows he shouldn’t; they’re in public, although away from the rest of the restaurant, he seems to forget that. The world narrowing to a point with Soobin at the centre; his fingers squeeze Yeosang’s thigh and his breath audibly hitches. He leans in, like a man possessed. Soobin moves too; and Yeosang’s breathing comes out short. Again, it feels so natural, inevitable in the most gentle way.

The two of them get engaged the summer after graduation. The announcement makes front page news in the Korean Herald and Hyunjin’s mom puts a clipping of it on the fridge right next to a copy of Seungmin’s senior thesis paper and acceptance letter into Harvard Business School. It’s the first time Hyunjin’s ever been featured there post-elementary school, when his macaroni art was just slightly more advanced than the other kids in his class, and the sight of it leaves a bitter taste in his mouth because he did nothing to deserve the spot of honor. Unless the culmination of his life’s success is simply marrying Kim Seungmin.
Hyunjin’s tasked with picking out their engagement rings, a pair of golden Tiffany bands. He sends Seungmin’s to him in the mail. His mom has to text Hyunjin the address. He doesn’t have Seungmin’s number saved in his phone.
