I know you, rightfully, won’t believe me, but I don’t actually enjoy hurting people.” He climbed up on the chair, situated back by Colton’s knees. He leveled the hammer at his face. “I’m not, like, a sociopath.” He let out a musical laugh. “I honestly get a little squeamish with gore.” He patted Colton’s thigh with his free hand, blowing out a regretful breath. “I know what it’s like, you know. I was beaten half to death once. True story! The jackass did it all wrong though.” He reached up, patted his cheek.

Summary
