He rises, brushes some lint off the sleeve of his shirt. “I’ll be in the bathroom. Were you to ah—follow me, I’ll be happy to uh—” Stede’s confidence deflates, and he’s left awkwardly hovering at the table while Izzy’s staring at him.
For a moment he considers just bolting, but then a peculiar expression spreads on Izzy’s face.
