Hero is perfect in every way that matters. He’s kind, responsible, patient, and always seems to know exactly what to say at the right time. Nothing ever slips through his hands, nothing ever breaks around him, and nothing ever leaves a mark that he can’t gently smooth over with a smile.
He’s the kind of person who would never be involved in anything messy, painful, or irreversible. The kind of person whose life moves in a straight, calm line—no cracks, no stains, no moments he wishes he could take back. If anything ever went wrong, it would never be his fault. It simply wouldn’t happen to him at all.

Summary

Meds and alcohol can only take him so far, though, and he knows it. However, the looming date in his mind and the plan he's settled on are about to be disrupted by a chance encounter with a blue-eyed, blond weirdo he's certain he's never met before in his life--but there's never really such a thing as chance.
