Summary
He runs. Anywhere but there. He darts and weaves through streets and alleyways, ignoring the throbbing pain in his head, legs, chest, everywhere, and he doesnt stop until he recognizes the early signs that he's about to collapse. He deems himself far enough, for now, and he curls up under an empty crate left outside next to the building's backdoor. He can't contain the painted whimpers any longer, and a few manage to slip, before his pained wheezing grows a bit quieter.
He thinks he hears voices, maybe footsteps growing closer, but he's too tired to think about anything as his mind slips into sleep.
Or; Virgil is an injured starving stray Patton finds behind his bakery, except all of a sudden he is very much human. Logan is, as per usual, in need of a break.

Summary
Janus knew something was off.
Usually it was Remus who had more of an intuition with this sort of thing. He was a side who dealt with negative thoughts, so it would make sense, he supposed, that he would be able to hear the negative ones. And that was usually the source of the off feeling, more often than not. A side effect of preservation is being able to tell when someone’s being self destructive, he thinks.
He just can’t pinpoint /who/.
