Summary
In the aftermath of everything, Pomni finds solace in routine naps in her own hidden bungalow. When Caine discovers that she disappears regularly for these naps, and more interestingly, that she considers them fun, he wants in.
In these moments, Pomni learns how to grow closer to Caine, and Caine learns how to lean into his humanity.
After all, it’s just a nap.

The world has become destabilized, leaving the players in an empty, disjointed purgatory. The circus is breaking down, becoming increasingly corrupted without the AI to manage it. If something doesn't get done, it's all over, but no one knows what to do.
Pomni thinks she can feel Caine out there somewhere—alone, confused, distressed. Kinger says it may be possible to save him, to save them all—but to do so, one must enter the code, and somehow, against all odds, make their way back out. Pomni will have to go alone, and see a side of Caine that he never wanted anyone to see. But can she get through to him, and does he even want to be found?

It wasn’t real affection, it wasn’t real attraction, it wasn’t real anything.
What it says on the tin- Pomni debates with herself over the ethics of getting frisky with her new AI-with-benefits. Said AI-with-benefits certainly does not feel ANY type of way about this, because AI does not feel things. Obviously.
