Summary
No longer able to endure Valentino's abuse, Angel seeks out the gambling overlord, Husk, and begs him to make a bet for his soul. Husk is hesitant to help, worried about the political fallout and public perception.
When Husk witnesses Valentino's cruelty firsthand, he realizes he can't just abandon Angel to his fate. He goes through with Angel's request, but a regular soul contract won’t do.
