Summary

An unlikely savior comes to Robert's rescue providing him with some grade A cooking and eventually a massage that leaves Robert wanting more from the cocky flame hero. The two bicker, the two chat, then ultimately Robert spends the night at Flambae's place.

The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.

“Not according to the Company, I don’t.” Aventurine smiles and takes off his sunglasses. He reaches over and goes in for the kill, lifting the bottom of Ratio’s chin to meet his eyes. No one ever resists the eyes. “You have no idea how special you are—in that I was sent to retrieve you.”
Ratio says nothing. He doesn’t really move.
In which the IPC just can’t seem to convince Veritas Ratio to join the Intelligentsia Guild, so they deploy Aventurine to a tiny university city-state, where he must charm the good doctor into their fold.
