Summary
In ancient Greece, Diana is on a mission of vengeance to fulfil a bloodoath she swore to the gods themselves, winning the blessings of her patron goddesses with each victory, and slowly becoming the godlike champion who will one day be known as 'Wonder Woman'. Caught in the midst of an Olympian power struggle, Diana's vengeful mission is interrupted by the surprise intervention of Poseidon just as she is about to execute the next betrayer on her list, and she is instead set a new challenge that will test her strength in ways she has never been tested before.
With a motley crew of pirates, a hopelessly idealistic poet, and the cowardly war criminal she came to slay, Diana must set sail to confront creatures of ancient myth to end their reign of terror -but can her spirit withstand the journey, or is she finally ready to lay her burden down?
This story is a contribution to an even larger over-arching saga, with quite a lot of backstory that this piece can only hint at. It is mostly drama and action, but there is some sexual heroine peril in places - particularly towards the end - which are reasonably explicit.
