Summary
Wei Wuxian is a master of half thought out plans and winging it, but a corporate espionage plot to steal back a stolen program might be his worst one yet. He is supposed to be using his position as Lan Wangji's assistant to get closer to the Lans, the Jins, and the Nies to find the thief. Instead, he can't help but be distracted by his boss and the undeniable attraction between them.

Lan Wangji has never needed nor wanted an assistant, but his brother seems to think throwing the undisciplined and highly annoying Wei Ying at him the height of comedy. Wei Ying is very good at talking and doing everything except what he was hired to do. And it's not only his behavior that is driving Lan Wangji to distraction.

Summary
Among cultivators, very few were betas, and even fewer were talented ones. In the Jiang clan, only one person fit that description: the head disciple, Wei Wuxian.

"For their protection," he answered. "Yes."Three days after Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian walk around Yiling, Lan Wangji comes to arrest the Wen into Lan custody.
Alpha Wei Wuxian gets mad. And then he gets omega about it.
