The job hunt wasn’t easy, no one really wanted to hire a teenager with no experience and most of the jobs were shit he wouldn’t do. For most of them the hours just didn’t work for him. He spent the better half of a week anxiously searching, thinking about reaching back out to Emilio—who would likely kick his ass for trying to get the job back after blowing it off—till he found it. It had the perfect hours for him and the pay was better than he could hope for.

The sunlight made its way into Victor's window as it rose from the dark sky. It was quite early, and Victor hadn't had a wink of sleep all night.
He was exhausted, ready to close his eyes and put his brain to rest. But he couldn't, not yet. He watched the clock tick by, waiting for the perfect moment.
He didn't want to risk waking up when his father came home from work. He knew it was inevitable, so if he couldn't stop it then he'd let it happen as he slept so he wouldn't remember it.

Oh my gosh... I cried like a baby at the last chapter. That is so incredibly rare for me to cry at books/fics. It is so beautiful, and changed my perspective on a lot of things. As a victim of SA myself, the way the initial feelings are written were so accurate I had to pause and take a step back. May not be my favorite fic, but it's nestled right in second place.

The two develop a friendship that passes the boundaries or what most would deem normal - or healthy. Does it end well for either of them? What milestones does Paul hit before his already fragile mental health begin to splinter…
