Summary
Lumine swung herself down to the next branch. The moonlight was beginning to peek through the leaves as they reached the edge of the woods. She jumped into the next tree and gasped when her foot slipped. Her hands reached for anything to stop her fall but all she got was a handful of leaves.
“Ack, what are you doing?!” Venti cried, jumping up to meet her.
His arms hooked behind her knees and back as he caught her midair. They hovered a few feet above the dirt path with the help of Venti's abilities. Lumine locked her arms around his neck and could feel how fast his heart beat against hers.
"Caught you," she whispered, heart pounding from her near accident.
"Hmm, I believe it was I who caught you," Venti mused.
Lumine and Venti play hide and seek in the Whispering Woods.
