Ian protested with a whine, not opening his eyes as he tried to sink further into his pillow, “Am now. What do you want?”
“Hey,” Mickey grinned at the sleepy haze of confusion that had its hold on Ian. He kissed the side of Ian’s jaw, voice low as he reached his ear, “Still wanna fuck me again?”

Summary
The rush of the world flying by below him, blood pulsing through his body so fast there was no way to describe it in a way that made sense to anyone unless you were a pilot. Heat, metal, smoke and flames, endless stretches of blue and white lines of wave caps. The slow curl of clouds as he rushed towards them and the way the sea and sky blended into one at times. That was where things had always made sense. In the calculated chaos and speed of it all. It was where Ice told himself he belonged. Always. He’d probably die up there someday, and wouldn’t it just be a fitting way for him to go.
But then sometimes Ice would get glimpses of a life so normal, so absolutely unlike anything he ever expected. Every time it threw him off, making him question things he had once been certain of.

Scully avoided his eyes while she shook her head, “Mulder, I’m fine. You should just go back to your place. I’ll be alright.”
“Well, I know you’ll be alright, Scully,” he said with a smile, dropping his voice a little more to something more quietly assuring, “But I want to make sure.”
And that’s how Fox Mulder ended up on Dana Scully’s couch at 12AM on a Sunday night.

Summary
At first, Dennis had no intention of being involved in Mac’s music making endeavors. Not at all. Gross.
Mac brought it up at the beginning of quarantine and Dennis shot that down real quick. He didn’t really have a desire to collaborate with Mac on something that didn’t benefit him in some way. At least, he hadn’t wanted to for awhile, and he was going to keep ignoring the reason for that as long as he could. Forever, ideally.

Yah, the Snow Spiders weren’t great.
Not as bad as the Sandgobblers, but still-did not make for a pleasant encounter. Absolutely not a chance they were one of the ones that could be friendly. There wasn’t one speck of domesticity in their piercing red eyes.
Joel made a note of that while he sketched them out in a new book by a fire that particular evening.

Marshall Robert Singer has one hand resting on his hip, the other gripping the discarded practice pole. Castiel thinks he looks tired. That said, with how the kaiju have been crawling with increasing frequency out of the Breach with every passing week and decimating the cities lining the Pacific, no one can blame the man for that.
Castiel knows there aren't enough Jaegers or Jaeger pilots left to defend the coastline against the monsters—but with his history, he's not getting back into harness. He's never joining his mind with anyone else's. Not again.
“Congratulations. You boys done dancing yet?” Singer demands, thumping the butt of the staff on the ground with blunt, percussive force. “We got work to do.”
“Work?” Castiel asks, frowning.
“Congratulations?” Dean finishes.
“Well, yeah.” The Marshall of North America's last battle-center looks back and forth between them, clearly questioning their intelligence. His lip curls just slightly under his beard—no doubt at their blank expressions. “You’re obviously Drift-compatible, ya idjits.”

Summary
You’ve heard things about Marie Schrader – hell, you’d have had to be living under a rock not to. After the fall of Heisenberg, and more recently, the lawyer who did his dirty work, the Albuquerque local news kept Marie’s face fresh in the zeitgeist. Everyone from the cashier at the 7-Eleven across from your apartment building to the goddamn mayor had respect for the woman. She was an average person whose life had been flipped upside down in an instant. In a way, it felt like the community knew her.
What you hadn’t expected was just how closely you’d be getting to know Marie.
