Summary
Kintsugi (jap. 金継ぎ, "golden joinery"): the art of mending broken pottery with gold, silver, or platinum, treating breakage and repair as part of the history of an object rather than something to reject and hide.
Mike is back in town; alone, lost, and looking for something he hasn’t quite figured out himself. But time didn’t stand still in New York either. The firm he left behind isn’t the same he’s returning to, and what he’s expecting to find may not be what’s waiting for him. In the months gone by, Harvey has moved on, and Mike has to face the possibility that he might have come back too late.
Can they mend what broke between them, or is the damage too big to repair this time?

Summary
Rationally, he knew Harvey never intended to hurt him. He didn't even intend for Mike to notice, he was sure. But reading Harvey came as easily as breathing for Mike, and thus so did the niggling shame for the things he enjoyed.
For the way his interests compared to Harvey's, all suave and elegant.
How Mike couldn't even look the part if he tried.

His secret relationship with Harvey is already tenuous enough without the likes of Liam Fleming (whose hobbies, conveniently include listening to jazz, boxing, and drinking expensive liquor) getting involved. With every passing day, Mike feels as if Harvey is slipping further and further away.

The handsome blonde turned toward the voice, all teeth and practiced charm. He tilted his head, just so, like he’d done it a thousand times—and probably had—and said smoothly, into the clamor, "It’s Mr. Fox-Claremont-Diaz, actually. I am a married man, you know. Have been for eight years now."
The cameras stuttered. A few jaws dropped audibly.
Then, from somewhere just beyond the main lineup, another voice rang out, loud and unmistakable: “You tell 'em, baby!”
