Madison wakes up in the middle of a forest with dried blood on her shirt and no memory of how she got there. The ruins she stumbles across aren't in any textbook she's studied, the strangers she meets carry swords like it's normal, and none of them seem to understand what a phone is. Either she wandered a lot farther from campus than she thought — or she's about to spend the rest of her life pretending she hasn't read this book.
