It’s been two weeks.
They’re holed up in some shitty middle-of-nowhere-planet lodgings. Nicer than most places Bix has lived, but still, shitty. Wil has a room, though he’s set to head out in just a few weeks. Properly join the cause. (Off to die. They all die.)
She and Cassian aren’t to stay for long, either. It’s too open. Not crowded enough. Bix doesn’t like it, anyway —more at home in the hustle of a city—but apparently Luthen wants them lying low for a bit before they’re off again. Before Cassian is off again. Bix is pretty sure Luthen doesn’t give two fucks what she does.
She spends a lot of the time in the bathroom, which probably drives the other two crazy, but they wouldn’t like her puking everywhere either. It’s a lot of puking. She can’t seem to keep food down.

The events of the solstice cause Caleb and Beau to miss their nightly check-in. That wouldn't go over well at the best of times, but the moon's gone all weird and it's not long at all before arrangements are made to come and get them, wherever they are.
Beauyasha emotional hurt/comfort, because everything went white and there aren't a lot of conclusions you can draw from that when you're chained to the floor watching the results of your failure. Spoilers for c3 e51 + an attempt to ease everyone worried about the empire kids. (Caleb has the ring of telepathy he took from Ickythong.)

Beau begins by sighing exasperatedly, which is typically not ideal for selling a pitch, but what the fuck, right? “I wanted to ask you,” she says, carefully now, “If you would maybe be interested in working with the Cobalt Soul. There is a silence which is somehow worse than the silence that they were sitting in before. Essek makes a small sound that must be unconscious, sort of like a death rattle. Beau didn’t know such an undignified noise was in his repertoire.
