Summary
They meet when spring is becoming summer. Keith is alone and Shiro, bitter, hides behind easy smiles. Summer bleeds into the autumn, dies, and they start to know each other. Keith's world expands with Shiro at its center. Winter is cold and long and harsh, and it's there they fall in love. Shiro burns, starlight lingers, Keith holds on. Spring comes again, and they already know the end.

Summary
Sometimes it feels like Shiro is the beginning and the end of everything in his life, but the truth is there are some feelings that grew in the spaces between his ribs before he even knew about Shiro’s existence.
Or: Keith and grief are the oldest of friends.
“You have an amazing heart, do you know that?” Shiro’s words are soft and raw in a way Keith aches for, and they soothe the pain in his chest that grows at the thought of not seeing him again for more than a year. “It will always guide you in the right direction.” The wind blows and Shiro’s soft smile never falters.
You are the right direction, Keith wants to say. You are the only direction my heart will follow.
Instead, he bites his tongue and buries the taste of longing in the back of his mouth, turning his gaze up to the stars.

Summary
Keith continues to watch himself fade and flicker. He’s staring straight at Pidge’s terrified face watching her form words that he can’t hear when he blinks out of existence. There’s a long moment of darkness, endless and complete, before he fades back into physical existence. He blinks into the dim light and recognizes the dull metal walls and purple glow in an instant, stomach sinking to his feet. Just his luck that the failed wormhole transported him straight into a cell on a Galra cruiser.
A quintessence experiment gone wrong sends Keith skipping backwards through time, back to a Shiro he hasn't seen in years, and one he's never seen. Keith just wants to get back to his Shiro and his time.

Summary
Keith's infiltration of Zarkon's ship doesn't go as planned. He doesn't return the same.
The last thing Keith had seen was Haggar staring down at him. The first thing he saw when he woke up was a blur of yellow, Shiro, and the purple creeping up his arm.
