Summary

A frequent, persisting nightmare about the humans abstracting startles Caine from his sleep. Even more strange is the fact that Pomni seems to be the one he fears losing the most for some reason. But...why? Needing reassurance that she was okay, he goes to check on her as she sleeps, inadvertently figuring out the answer to his question.

Caine has thoroughly enjoyed the Amazing Digital Sex Update with every other member of the cast (after Kinger gave him the capacity to feel pleasure post Episode 8 timeline divergence crashout from which Caine was immediately recovered)
Now that it's just Jax left, Caine finally folds to his own curiosity over why Jax has been acting so frazzled and sulky since the update. Jax to blows up on him about a certain coding error concerning his new hardware, but as it turns out, an AI in the midst of a sexual and sensory awakening has broader, different definitions of what's desirable or too much—as opposed to all those pesky human opinions and hangups Jax had been struggling against!! seeking series beta reader(s) !
