Magnus smiled to himself as his phone buzzed, and he didn’t have to look down to know that it was a response to the message he had sent less than five minutes ago.
It had to be. Those were the rules.
At least, if Asher wanted his weekly allowance to clear his account, and with the demanding shopping list Magnus had sent him on, he knew the boy would be desperate for it.
Magnus swiped open his phone, openly up the text message and humming with satisfaction.
He knew Asher’s schedule and knew the boy would be at the gym, so demanding a cage check and progress pic was a perfect chance to push the boy’s boundaries. Magnus had been subtly poking and prodding since their . . . . relationship had started, and he was happy with how far Asher had come.
Magnus’s message was curt—”check-in, pup”—and the picture below was perfect.

I don’t really know what the life before looked like, I only heard stories. Even though it seems like it, the United States of America didn't fall overnight, there were signs of what was coming for years before it happened. The candidates running for office said things openly, but no one truly believed them. The hierarchy was never perfect, but after Orion took over, it all went downhill, steeply downhill. The American government collapsed under the powerful politicians who were not a major part of the government body. That’s how the republic of Orion was established. Through terrorism.

This work was slightly inspired by the Handmaid's tale, although it is very different from it.Feel free to correct any mistakes you find, English isn't my first language, therefore I will definitely make some mistakes, deapite proofreading each chapter at least three times.

Summary
