Summary
Grace has been teaching on the Filament Station since the end of the universe began. When the Brothers of Eden commender the station for the few resources they have, his new neighbor becomes Simon the Butcher himself. At first, Grace is nervous about his new neighbor, until he realizes all it seems Simon wants to do is read. Their romance blooms from there. However, it’s abruptly halted when Grace is arrested by the C.I.O for sharing resources, and the Brothers of Eden set their plan for the Filament Station in motion.

Simon has been streaming for just over two-and-a-half hours at this point, jumping around the Minecraft world he has been playing on for the past few streams, when his phone vibrates aggressively on his desk. He doesn't answer the first time. He usually doesn’t when he is streaming, but when it begins to vibrate again seconds later, he knows something is up. He gives a quick glance at chat, before picking his phone up from his desk. Ryland’s contact name stares up at him from the screen and Simon can’t help the small pit that forms in his stomach.

Simon wakes up in a new place with plants and a beach and an angel that takes care of him and keep telling him that he's not an angel, he thinks that maybe the angel just wants him to feel more normal about having a literal divine being so close all of the time.

Grace wants to know where the hell this man came from, why did the eridians just shoved the poor guy in the biodome, why he doesn't have wings, why he looks like he went through hell and why he is actively but slowly mutating into... Something that Grace isn't sure what it should be yet. And he really wants Simon to stop thinking Ryland is an angel.
