Shouta tried to court Hizashi back in their teens but failed miserably. The unfortunate thing is: Hizashi had no idea that Shouta was trying to court him. Etiquette states that an Alpha needs to present his potential mate with proof of his "worth," and most of the time, it is typical romantic things like flowers, candies, etc. Shouta was...too practical in his approach. He got Hizashi things that the Omega needed, like toothpaste, socks, and missed notes from class. Now, as adults, Shouta wants to try again.

Shinsou froze and his eyes darted to the front of the class. Kaminari didn’t notice the tension in the room as he closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair. “Why would he need to? He’s got a killer Quirk, it’s not like he’d ever need to be good at hand-to-hand. Right, guys?”
Like most moments of casual reckoning between Class 1-A and Aizawa, it started with Kaminari being stupid.

I’ll pick you up at 9 am?” He finally looked away from his phone and toward the window, a light dusting of a blush across his cheeks.
Hizashi perked up a bit more, intrigued, “Consider it a date then!”
Hizashi swore he saw his friend’s cheeks darken, but he shook his head at himself. It was just wishful thinking, nothing more. Just because he had a massive crush on his best friend didn’t mean that Shouta felt the same way.
