At Jackson University, Tyler, a brilliant but chaotic biology student, is a walking disaster, and Rain is tasked with cleaning up his messes—literally and figuratively. When they’re forced to team up for a high-stakes project, sparks fly (sometimes literally), as Tyler insists on pushing boundaries while Rain tries desperately to hold the lab together. But things get seriously messy when a risky experiment creates a monstrous hybrid that’s part biology, part robot, and all trouble. Now, as the creature goes rogue, Tyler and Rain must deal with both the out-of-control experiment and the unexpected feelings bubbling up between them—because nothing says "romantic tension" like a facehugger on the loose.

In the dark, constant shadows of Jackson's Star, survival is more than a fight.
