Breaking news falls in the women's college volleyball world:
Nigel Kipling, assistant coach for over twenty years for the Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball team, after working side by side with Coach Miranda Priestly, leaves his position when the opportunity to coach his own team arises. He joins Northwestern, which is home to rising outside hitter Andrea Sachs.
Miranda, hellbent on beating them whenever they cross paths, pushes Emily Charlton, her star libero, to the limit, in hopes of repeating their championship run and setting things straight.
A rivalry forms between the teams, and Andrea and Emily find themselves caught in the crossfire, giving way to an unlikely sequence of events that leads to something else.
