Col cazzo, pensa. Le dita di Gyro si stringono attorno al suo collo, lunghe e delicate. Non è neppure definibile una stretta, non ancora. Diego si sforza di concentrarsi sul suo volto. Sorride.
« Diglielo tu per me. », sussurra. « Le parole le conosci. »
Gyro non ricambia il sorriso. Una scintilla cupa gli balugina negli occhi, anche se solo per un momento. Stringe un poco più forte sul suo collo, si rialza in piedi – i suoi capelli carezzano il petto e il volto di Diego.
« Credo che voglia che tu lo scopi. », mormora, rivolto a Johnny.

Summary
Sasuke continua ad ansimare. La parte più primitiva del suo cervello lo implora di spogliarsi, di togliersi di dosso quelle vesti pesanti che lo costringono in una gabbia di calore. Si sforza di balbettare una risposta.
« Perché avevo… trovato Dio. »
In tutta risposta, Naruto esplode in una risata di scherno. « Perché avevi capito », lo corregge. « Perché sapevi cosa provava per te. Sapevi che sarebbe accaduto – no, sapevi che lo avresti istigato, prima o poi, che avresti fatto in modo che accadesse. Hai avuto paura. Ma non è più il momento della paura, giovane prete… »
La mano di Naruto si posa su una sua natica, poi si sposta verso l’alto – carezza la sua schiena, sollevandogli la veste. Il sollievo è così istantaneo da strappare a Sasuke un gemito gutturale, un verso umiliante. Chiude gli occhi, persistendo a tremare.
« Kurama ha preso questo corpo », è la voce di Naruto, ora, solo la sua. « Perché io potessi prendere il tuo. »

Summary
Sasuke keeps panting. The most primal part of his brain begs him to strip, to shed the heavy robes trapping him in a cage of heat. He struggles to stammer a response.
“Because I had… found God.”
In response, Naruto bursts into mocking laughter. “Because you understood,” he retaliates. “Because you knew what he felt for you. You knew it would happen – you knew you’d provoke it, sooner or later, that you’d make it happen. You were afraid. But it’s no longer time for fear, young priest…”
Naruto’s hand rests on his buttock, then slides upward – caressing his back, lifting his robe. The relief is so immediate it tears a guttural moan from Sasuke, a humiliating sound. He closes his eyes, still trembling.
“Kurama took my body,” it’s Naruto’s voice now, only his. “So I could take yours.”

Trovare una fonte, in quell’inferno, è quasi un sollievo. Quasi, perché Luffy quasi non possiede dignità, né si domanda se spogliarsi e gettarsi nell’acqua straordinariamente fresca lo renda troppo vulnerabile nei confronti di un uomo la cui lealtà non conosce realmente. Certo, Law non ha fatto nulla perché Luffy non debba fidarsi di lui – e anzi, nei giorni di navigazione sono rimasti più volte soli, a discutere del da farsi (è Law, più che altro, a discutere: Luffy si limita ad ascoltare, o a fingere di ascoltarlo). Ora sguazza nell’acqua fredda, ridendo sollevato e invitandolo ad entrare.
