Ahsoka can’t hide it anymore. She doubles over with laughter, forcing Anakin to pause beside her in the otherwise empty corridor and wait for her to recover. His padawan gasps for breath between gales of mirthful wheezing, her eyes streaming tears as her Master stands with his arms crossed over his chest and his eyebrows scrunched almost painfully close together. Although she’d never point it out, Ahsoka laughs even harder when she sees her Master outright pouting.
“What’s so funny, Snips?” he demands.
“D-Do you know what a best friend is, Master?”
“Yes! I think so, anyway.”
“Well who is your best friend?”
“Obi-Wan,” Anakin answers without missing a beat.
