Summary
The oceans are hot. There's not enough food. And there's only water for miles around. Still the robots have taken away what's left of Leonardo Alcantara's heart: his family.
Always a man of fact, he was once a journalist who spoke only the truth. But now, having relied on whispers and hearsay, he has arrived at a turning point. He has found Earth's goddess, Ars Titania.
With her, he can change the tides. But does she want the same?
How did the oceans get this hot? What's powering the robots if the oil pumps have sunk beneath the waves? And what drives what's left of humanity to live on?
Together, Leonardo and Titania must navigate a changed world, defeat the robots, and face the truth. Or else, all of humanity will perish, and become just another name among Earth's many, many extinct species.

'Something crashes into the fence at the bottom of the garden, making the hanging baskets of dried-up flowers that Jon hasn't had the presence of mind to remove sway against the wood. He thumbs the tape recorder off and shoves it into the pocket of his jacket, finding his feet on the patio. The penknife feels pitifully miniscule in his fingers, so he exchanges it for the pipe.
More banging, and one of the fence panels starts to buckle, the wood splintering in sharp snaps.
'Hello?' Jon calls out, finding his tone strangely polite even now, devoid of either the fear or the righteous anger he feels. 'Are you-?'
Alive? A person?'
Or, the one with all the zombies.
