Summary
For the 2020 FFXIVWrite!
Expect almost exclusively Ascians and reader inserts, but I'm gonna try not to limit myself by tying these all together with a unifying theme. Some of these will be VERY short as I struggle with the daily nature of these prompts, and the deadlines, but that's all a part of the fun~
Spoilers will be marked on a CHAPTER BY CHAPTER basis in the index (the first chapter), so if you're not through with 5.3 PLEASE CHECK THERE. I might not do a great job of updating the tags on the fic itself but I'll try to update the index every time a chapter is posted with kinks/themes/etc. so if you're looking for a certain think you can easily find it :)

Summary
Knowledge dictates expectation, and expectation colors perception.
The misunderstanding goes both ways; Emet-Selch has a number of preconceptions about you that need correcting.
Oh, he'll fall, all right. But he'll love it all the way down - and so will you.

Summary
“You love games, don’t you, Emet-Selch? You want to play them with me. That’s why you’re here – because it’s exactly where you want to be.”
His face tightens in your hands. Desire warring with pride, with that spiteful tone that dances along his voice, at the corner of his eyes. You see his lower lip dent ever so slightly where he must take it between his teeth for a moment.
"Congratulations, hero. You’ve discovered my grand secret. I. want. you.” His eyes burn, gold and gleaming, “Now take me."

Summary
Hydaelyn strikes true, and all of reality is Sundered; all but one soul.
Legends rise up around you. Stories. Stories about a woman who can grant wishes, a wise man who knows everything, a great mage with unparalleled power, about a witch, an angel, a god. You don’t hear Hydaelyn’s name or Zodiark’s. It’s all well enough.
Countless lifetimes come to pass. They’re countless because you don’t bother to number them. What would be the point? What is there to wait for, now? What could possibly be left?

Summary
Just because you cannot see all the intimate, sordid details of a relationship, does not mean there is nothing there. In fact, sometimes it is the parts that we cannot see that are the most damning of all...
Or, the day that the Convocation will never allow you and Elidibus to live down, ever.

Some people are like the sun. They can shine all on their own, and can even give their warmth and life to others.
Others are like the moon. Their radiance is borrowed; reflected.

Summary
Igeyorhm knows not why she goes into the tavern and beds a stranger. Mayhap it is because she can tell. How Lahabrea quietly scorns her, silent disdain towards the single fragment that was her own soul, while he obsessed over that Warrior of Light, seven times Rejoined –
You know why you go into the tavern and bed a stranger. Because her hair is blue and her eyes are fierce; her body lean and lithe and her attitude charming. If you hadn’t been the Warrior of Light, if she hadn’t been just some stranger in a tavern, you might have taken her properly –
Or does she take you?

Summary
Laughter. “There is no such thing as balance, Elidibus.”
The sound is pleasant, though he knows well its playful mockery. “All things are balance. Too much of one thing, too little of another – everything is dangerous in extremes. A universal truth.”
“There is no such thing as too much.” He hears, softer.
No such thing as too much – how very like you, to say such a thing.

Summary
Amaurot, the great metropolis; home to the famous Anyder University. You are a poor, meager college student, living in the dorms, attending classes far too early in the morning, studying for exams far too late in the semester.
He's Emet-Selch. An infamous billionaire and executive of an extremely powerful, wealthy, and ultra-secretive conglomerate - Zodiark Corp.
Turns out he attended Anyder - no surprise there. He was in the Convocation, too. From the moment you and him meet, to the moment you start dating, you find out about more and more you have in common with him - all the ways you are deeply, shockingly, delightfully compatible.
You also have tons of sex. (He's really good at it. Like, really good.) Other things, too, but there's a lot of sex.

Serve... Save... Slave... Slay... You'd fought through so many to get here, traveled across continents, faced monsters and gods and ancient Allagan relics beyond that still. All to save the people who'd called you Hero, Warrior of Light, a title you'd never asked for in the first place.
You're so tired of it all, you want to leave, but somehow you still cannot abandon the people who had made you serve them for so long.
Zenos yae Galvus stands before you, hand outstretched in askance. He offers to take you to Garlemald, and his Legion along with him. Weary, exhausted, and unwilling to kill the only rival you'd ever had -

Summary
You hear and you are curious. The Ascians are not some otherworldly aethereal creatures; they are humans, ancient humans. The god that they’re trying to resurrect with these Calamities is the god they summoned to save the world.
Why didn’t the Ascians tell anyone about their history? About the world, the other worlds, and what had happened to them? Maybe, if they had just tried to cooperate with the Spoken races, they could have all found a solution together that didn’t hurt anyone…
More and more curious you grow. You search and search, and eventually you find there’s someone who can answer your questions.
His name is Elidibus, the Emissary; the Ascian clad in white.
