Summary
Matt hissed, "Ow," and flinched back when something sharp stung his finger. Tiny made another motion to defend themself and Matt withdrew his arm. "Y'know, most people don't attack the person trying to save them," he said, mildly put out. "I don't want to hurt you. I'm trying to help."
"The hell you are!" Tiny bellowed with all the ferocity contained in their little body. It was an unexpectedly Herculean amount. "Who set the traps in the first place, huh? Then you come in tryin' to snatch me up like a damn claw machine. 'Help' my ass!"
"I am trying to help. I'm sorry about the traps - really, I am. I thought I got all of them out. I'm truly sorry. Will you let me fix this? Without stabbing me again? Please?"
A contemplative silence fell over the two. It was only respectful to ask: as someone who'd been stabbed and shot and hit more times than he could remember, Matt could handle a poke or two. But he didn't like being grabbed without his consent - why would someone who's just a few inches tall?

"Hold on, now," Wheeljack interjected, squinting suspiciously at the Minicon who stiffly sat upon Ultra Magnus' lifeless corpse like a trophy - or like a ride. Wheeljack didn't miss how the small bot flinched when Wheeljack limped closer, the red-eyed stranger's posture straightening ever further. "You're..."
"Minimus Ambus," the bot answered, though without the certainty that introducing oneself should have. "And, yes, I am also..." He looked back at the body that he crawled out of. With a heavy weight of mourning, and in a cadence that was so familiar, he said, "Ultra Magnus."

Summary
"We need to get moving," Bucky said.
"Yeah, yeah," Sam agreed.
Once again, neither of them moved.
Once again, it was Bucky that finally did. His right hand unfurled. His arm stretched toward the floor at a glacial pace. Bucky leaned over, perhaps trying to appear less threatening and failing spectacularly. His head eclipsed the ceiling light. His shadow fell over Sam. To Sam's credit, he did not run. He froze. The hand lowered, upturned, and the wayward comparison of how one might coax over a cat drifted through Sam's mind. Instantly, that thought was replaced by the horrifying reminder that a giant hand was approaching. Bucky stopped, his knuckles inches off the ground and yards away from Sam.
"Sam," Bucky prompted - impatient asshat.
"Ye- gimme a second," Sam shot back. "I'm working up to it."
Bucky sighed harshly. Sam felt a faint breeze waft over his meticulously trimmed hair and the back of his neck. He shivered.
Bucky said, "We don't have all night."
"For- would you give me one second!"
Another beat of inaction passed - one too many for Bucky. Without warning, Bucky scooped Sam off his feet. Sam yelled.

Summary
Tired of this game, Butcher slammed his other palm on the countertop. The Supe cowered into his fist as if it might save them. Butcher repeated, "Our fucking location!" The Supe covered their head and reverted to the pleading nonsense. Butcher said, "Cut the fuckin' waterworks and tell me what I need to know, or I squeeze 'til you pop like a fuckin' daisy."
Butcher tightened his grip - enough to get his threat across and make them really think about the next words out of their mouth.
"I don't know what you're talking about," the small bastard sobbed amidst their gasps, futile tears falling behind their shield of arms. "I don't know what- what Vought is or what you want from me! I'm nobody! I just want- wanted food. I don't know who you are, o- or your friends! I don't know anything! Please, PLEASE, I'm telling the truth!"
Butcher respected their commitment. And the sell.
Butcher pulled away, leering at them down his nose. "Alright, then," he said, encouraging the tiny Supe to peek up at him between their arms with the smallest amount of hope.
Brandishing his signature smirk, Butcher began to squeeze.

Summary
A blue blur jumped out of the trees. It yelled and Clawthorn yelled back, stumbling as it rocketed directly into her. A combination of forces went into knocking Clawthorn down, among them a profoundly unfortunate root that caught her heel. She laid in the dirt, a blade at her throat and her servos up. The blade belonged to the small bot crouched on her chest.
"Don't move," the bot ordered. Clawthorn whimpered an affirmative. Her optics could not get wider, glowing near-white with shock and fear.
"Wait," Miko exclaimed, "Arcee, stop! Don't hurt her!"
"Not now, Miko!" snapped Arcee. "You're in enough trouble."
"But she's not a bad guy! We were just talking."
Another mech entered the fray. He rushed over and scooped the human into his servos, holding her close as he beeped. Miko brushed off his concern.
"She didn't hurt me," asserted the girl. "She could've! But she's nice. Tell 'em, Clawthorn!"
"Hello," Clawthorn timidly uttered, risking a wave.
Miko flung her arms out. "See?"

Jud has learned to handle it over the years, this thing that happens to him sometimes. His nightstand is always flush with the side of his bed, books piled up around it at different heights. He makes sure to keep a thimble filled up with water at all times, a little bit of food in a small ziplock, and most importantly of all: he’s always kind to any type of critter he might see around the house. He would be regardless—he’s never understood people’s aversion to small rodents—but he does go the extra mile just to be really sure they will treat him well if he does run into them at times like these.

No, it makes sense, really, the timing. It’s how it goes most of the time: he goes through something incredibly stressful, and when it’s over and he can sort of breathe again, that’s when he wakes up this way. Tiny.
