Illuga leaves for a trip to Mondstadt, where his boyfriend, the Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company Lohen, lives. Summary
Lohen makes a short, dismissive sound. His hand slinks into Illuga’s hair, tilting his head back, and Illuga thinks that this is it, he was interesting briefly but he is ultimately still prey—but all Lohen does is graze his lips over the place just under his jaw where Illuga is sure his pulse is hammering against his skin.
It is horrible, but Illuga realizes it is the gentlest touch he has felt in a long while. Even worse is when Lohen pulls away and cups his jaw carefully and studies him.
Then, without warning, Lohen closes the gap between them. His lips hover a single breath from Illuga’s, and were he a human Illuga imagines he would be able to feel the heat of Lohen’s skin.
He searches inside of himself for disgust, repulsion, fear—and finds nothing. Just a shallow emptiness, the absence of emotion. And there, buried so deep he almost misses it, a flicker of want.
