"Your death is my worst-case scenario."
Aventurine was accustomed to bluffing, but how could one win a match against time when every single step led to death?

Summary
One head for two means not only shared thoughts, but shared sentences. Aventurine drops a contract onto the desk—it reeks of gunpowder and hopelessness—and Veritas Ratio realizes that logic is utterly powerless where the IPC issues a «sign or die» ultimatum. A psychological duel within four walls, where the silence of the office is broken only by the clinking of a coin and the echo of someone else's doom.
//Ratio and Aventurine develop a profound psychic bond.

Summary
Veritas remembered the first time he tried something more serious than the mild stimulants common among students. It had happened, for the most part, by accident, at the age of eighteen, while he was still attending unrelated but, from his perspective, useful courses at the Academy. It happened just before Christmas, right after his graduation exams.

Veritas knew the rules. But the hardest part was ignoring everything that was left unsaid.

Summary
“Two guys walk into a bar,” Ghost says.
“Not in the mood,” Johnny growls.
Silence.
“The third ducks.”
“Bleeding Jesus, Ghost,” Johnny mutters.
“Why don’t dinosaurs talk?” Ghost asks. He rocks back on his heels, face still pointed upwards.
“I’m not doing this with you,” Johnny says.
“Why don’t dinosaurs talk, Johnny?”
There’s a perfect stream of water falling off the ends of a branch a few yards off. It’s making a tiny pond in the forest floor far below, a pond that is slowly swelling out of its banks and turning into a river, trickling through fallen leaves and bracken. Johnny stares at that, refusing to meet Ghost’s eyes. He’d swung his gaze around to look at Johnny, head tilted slightly down, eyes glinting light through the darkness of the mask and greasepaint. That look turns Johnny’s spine to jello, breaks down his resolve and makes something dangerous warm in his stomach. He doesn’t know if Ghost is aware that he does it, if he knows how fast Johnny’s resolve crumbles at that look.
“Why don’t they talk, ye fuckin’ bobber?” Johnny says through grit teeth.
“Because they’re dead.”

Summary
Ghost has been working at an animal shelter that rescued problem dogs for a while now. For the most part, it's a pretty great way to spend his retirement, especially with Riley by his side. Of course, there's always things that make life suck arse.
Like the guy with all the scars casing the shelter from across the street. Ghost hasn't taken a life in a long time, but if the bastard was the kind of piece of shit he suspected he was, he'd do what he had to. And if he was wrong... Well, he'd deal with that if it came to it.

Summary
An alternate first meeting, where Ghost and Soap meet each other in the field under infinitely worse circumstances than either of them would have liked:
Ghost wakes up in a pit under a building with a bomb attached to him, certain he's going to die. Soap, an EOD tech amongst his other specialties, is the only person available to at least try to save him. It should be fraught, and tense, and miserable all around, and it is; a whole lot of Ghost slowly losing his mind while Soap does everything he can to save his life. But it would probably be easier if Ghost wasn't a stress-flirter, and if Soap wasn't the kind of endlessly competent that he loved, and if, by virtue of their situation, they didn't keep ripping open each other's wounds and then patching each other back up again after.

Summary
König is stuck. Stuck in his professional life, stuck in his degrading relationship with Krueger and stuck in his own self hatred. It doesn’t help that he stumbles upon a duo of adult content creators who awaken an unrealizable desire for tenderness and appreciation in him.
That is until he is deployed with the 141 and comes face to face with a dangerously familiar couple, which seems to have him in their scope since the very first day. Trying to navigate the flirty advances by a Scottish sergeant, he falls for them, all while trying to reconcile the lieutenants gestures of care with his intimidating gazes.
This whole mess would be so much easier to solve, if there wasn’t the looming threat of a ticking clock, counting down the days of his deployment…

Summary
In theory, it’s an easy plan of action: Soap heals with Ghost by his side and life goes back to the way it was before. Effortless and efficient, just like how they’ve always handled tough missions.
But with a newly broken brain, pent-up feelings, and a possible medical discharge looming on the horizon, everything is often easier said than done.
