Summary
You wake up in slow, syrupy stages. First you open your eyes and your vision clouds over with red. Keigo’s feathers, you realize. He's laying on his stomach with his face turned away from you and his soft wings draped over the whole of the bed, on top of the covers. A soft, drowsy smile stretches your lips and a feeling of affection envelops your heart and warms your tummy.
Next thing you know you are opening your eyes again, and the first color you notice is the black of Touya’s hair. It's stark against the white of the sheets and his white skin, even with all the scars. A deep breath wakes you up a bit more and this time your head is clear enough for a single thought to break through: he's unfairly attractive, even as sleep tousled as he is.
Your thoughts, naturally, drift to his naked chest, which soon makes you remember that you are naked, too. And then that brings back memories of the previous night, and then you are awake and blushing as hard as you can, aware of how sore your body is and just why it is so.

It's already been three weeks.
Time for Silco passes slowly, dragging like a thick sludge no less toxic than the fumes which envelop Zaun. As hard as admitting it was, he can't help but track the feeling to the exact moment where you stepped out of his office, or to a second before that when he saw your heart shatter under his cruel, cynical words.
The guilt, familiar already but vastly more bothersome and recent, revealed itself the next morning when Jinx popped into his room and inquired after you. The blue haired girl once again kick-started everything when she shined light into the fact that she’d already been to your dingy house and hadn't found a clue about you.

Today was a slow morning. Viktor had gotten up to feed the animals and came straight back to bed, the prospect of lying next to your bare body for some more hours too tempting to let go, even if it meant doing whatever other chore much later

It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.

Summary
There were a multitude of very logical, easy to follow reasons that this could have led to the situation Pure Vanilla found himself in.
Surely, after sealing Dark Enchantress away, celebration across Earthbread was in order. It could have been the fact the Beasts - now with full corporal bodies and the halved soul jams of their whole entering their rehabilitation stage via their ancient counterparts. Or perhaps it was the splendor of a new time of peace, a time to recoup from loss and rebuild both dough, soul and heart.
However.
Being planted in the lap of Silent Salt Cookie in a larger circle of Beasts and Ancients was not on any kind of list on the healer's mind.

Ever since Shadow Milk’s redemption, Pure Vanilla's life had flourished and bloomed in ways he would’ve never expected. He had a beautiful, lively kingdom and a wonderful community. Most of all, his other half, his soulmate, now lived in his walls.
But in a field of beautiful flowers, there’s always a stubborn weed.
A weed that’d been living with Pure Vanilla since his birth, and still haunted him even now. No matter how much it was plucked, by himself or others, it always came back, and it will always come back.
But how rough can you pull a weed, until it never comes back? Until delicate petals overshadow its growth? Until all you can do is be mesmerized by the good, so that the bad is barely recognizable?
How much can Shadow Milk keep pulling, and pulling, and pulling, until his beloved can do nothing else but focus on a gorgeous expanse of flowers? Until he can do nothing else but focus on him?
OR:
Pure Vanilla has had body dysphoria his entire life, and he’s reminded of his dislike for his body every single day. Shadow Milk’s duty is to make sure that the only thing he can focus on is just how beautiful he is, and how good he can make him feel, regardless of what he was born as.
